Mac OS X — installation

If you have a previous StreamVPN client installed, please fully uninstall it before continuing. Log in to your StreamVPN account, go to the Install tab and choose the Mac OS X download.

If you're using Safari or Chrome, the download will auto-unzip. The files will appear in your Downloads folder (unless you've configured a different location).

Because every Mac client is custom-built per customer, macOS will warn you that it's from an unidentified developer. There are two ways past this — pick one in step 1 below.

Allow the install

Option 1. Right-click the StreamVPN app and choose Open.

Option 2. Go to System Preferences → Security & Privacy and click Open Anyway.

Confirm and install

Either option above will prompt you once more to confirm — click Open.

macOS will then ask for permission to install it in Applications; enter your Mac password.

That's it — StreamVPN is now in your Applications folder (you can delete the download).

The menu-bar icon

A new icon appears in the top-right of your screen.

Connecting to a country

Click the red globe to open the menu and pick a country.

You cannot connect to more than one country at a time.

During the connection the arrow turns orange and rotates; once it goes green, you're connected.

Stealth Mode

Stealth Mode adds extra encryption to bypass VPN blocks (e.g. UAE, China). It's slightly slower — only use it when you need to.

Disconnecting

Same as connecting, in reverse: open the menu and choose Disconnect.
