Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy, including the list of Prohibited Activities below, is an integral part of your Service Agreement with My Expat Network Limited (trading as StreamVPN). If you engage in any prohibited activity, StreamVPN may suspend or terminate your account.

StreamVPN's Acceptable Use Policy (the "Policy") for StreamVPN Services is designed to help protect StreamVPN, our customers and the wider internet community from irresponsible or, in some cases, illegal activities. The Policy is a non-exclusive list of actions prohibited by StreamVPN. StreamVPN reserves the right to modify the Policy at any time, effective upon posting on our website.

Prohibited uses of StreamVPN systems and services

  1. Transmission, distribution or storage of any material in violation of any applicable law or regulation — including material protected by copyright, trademark, trade secret or other intellectual property right used without authorisation, or material that is obscene, defamatory, constitutes an illegal threat, or violates export-control laws.
  2. Sending Unsolicited Bulk Email ("UBE", "spam"). Sending UBE through StreamVPN's servers is prohibited. So is sending UBE from another provider that advertises a website, email address or other resource hosted on StreamVPN's servers.
  3. Running unconfirmed mailing lists. All mailing lists run by StreamVPN customers must be closed-loop ("confirmed opt-in"). Purchasing lists of email addresses from 3rd parties for mailing to from any StreamVPN-hosted domain is prohibited.
  4. Advertising, transmitting, or making available any software designed to violate this AUP or another provider's AUP — including tools that facilitate UBE, pinging, flooding, mail-bombing or denial-of-service.
  5. Operating an account on behalf of, or reselling to, persons or firms listed in the Spamhaus ROKSO database at spamhaus.org.
  6. Unauthorised attempts by a user to gain access to any account or computer resource not belonging to that user (e.g. "cracking").
  7. Obtaining or attempting to obtain service by any means or device with intent to avoid payment.
  8. Unauthorised access, alteration, destruction, or any attempt thereof, of any information of any StreamVPN customers or end-users.
  9. Knowingly engaging in activities designed to harass, or to cause a denial-of-service to, any other user — whether on the StreamVPN network or another provider's network.
  10. Using StreamVPN services to interfere with the use of the network by other customers or authorised users.

Customer responsibility

Each StreamVPN customer is responsible for their activities and, by accepting service from StreamVPN, agrees to abide by this Policy. If violations occur, StreamVPN reserves the right to terminate services or take action to stop the offending customer from violating this AUP, as StreamVPN deems appropriate, without notice.
